The Sociology Department is looking for up to two student workers to provide general office and administrative support to the department, which includes assisting faculty, staff, and students with day-to-day operations.

Location: Lippman Hall 212/221

Supervisor: Susie Saleem

Hours/Shifts Available: Days; Mon-Fri

Rate of Pay: $9.70/hr

Number of Positions available: 2

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Copying, scanning, filing, and organizing.

  • Assisting faculty with course and administrative-related requests.

  • Maintaining inventory sheets and supply request forms.

  • Picking up packages and sorting mail.

  • Creating flyers using Canva and distributing promotional materials around campus for departmental events.

  • General office support for day-to-day operations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Professional and proactive communication.

  • Familiarity with Google Drive, Microsoft 365, Excel, Canva, and office equipment such as printers, iPad, label makers, etc.
