Description

This is an ongoing, as-needed post to create a pool of applicants. As department needs are identified, this pool will be reviewed periodically to obtain potential candidates.

Sustain teaching performance in the credentialed discipline, including appropriate course loads. This load will include seated, hybrid, and online courses

Examples of Duties

  • Maintain mastery and currency in the credentialed field
  • Perform record keeping function in the areas of attendance and student performance in an accurate and timely manner
  • Insure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC Community College System, and applicable State and Federal agencies

Qualifications

Education

Master's Degree in sociology from an Accredited four year institution or a Master's Degree in a closely related field with 18 graduate hours in the sociology.

Experience

All applicants must provide verifiable and relevant professional experience in a work-place setting or demonstrated instructional/teaching environment.

Skills and the Know-How

Current knowledge in the field. The ability to use computers, computer applications, email, online content management software

Current knowledge in the field. Possess strong personal and professional integrity, effective verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite or similar products, Content Management Systems (CMS), College email and website, and web-based computer applications associated with the position.
