Description
LCSW/ LMSW Opportunity Danbury Hospital
Summary:
Provides clinical assessment and evaluation to emotionally ill individuals, collaborating with psychiatric and other health professionals for the purposes of quality diagnostic and treatment services.
Responsibilities:
Provides individual, group and family counseling with focus on Children and Adolescents.
Develops, communicates effectively and maintains relationships with appropriate outside agencies & community services.
Maintains a client caseload.
Adheres to all charting requirements, policies and procedures in a timely, accurate & concise manner.
Attends multidisciplinary team meetings/case conferences.
Attends supervisory sessions.
Completes initial, emergency and ongoing assessment of patients.
May conduct home/hospital visits of patients and families.
Complies with all confidential regulations, reviews patients'' rights with the patient.
Provides clinical review, pre-certification and re-certification to insurance companies & collaborates with department financial counselor.
Supervises masters prepared Social Workers to aid in ongoing professional development and performance improvement so that program census revenues remain.
Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Information:
Master''s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited school
Minimum of three years' experience
Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Working Conditions:
Manual: Some manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk
Physical Effort: Sedentary/light effort. May exert up to 10 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
