The Brown Deer School District is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic School Social Worker. This role will work in conjunction with teachers, support staff, and administrators to assist students with their social and emotional needs. The candidate will possess experience with group counseling, supporting school-wide PBIS implementation, and working closely with families. The Social Worker must possess a strong work ethic and the desire to collaborate as a team as well as take the initiative to problem solve behavioral and academic challenges and be forward thinking. Being able to organize and ability to manage multiple priorities is a must. Experience working with at-risk populations, parent education, and community programs such as public health, and human services is a plus.
The candidate must be certified or eligible for certification in the State of Wisconsin to practice as a School Social Worker in a school setting. A Masters' Degree and a Specialist Degree in School Social Work or equivalent are required for experience working with English Language Learners
