GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Durham County's Aging and Adult Services division is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to serve as the Special Assistance In-Home (SA-IH) Supervisor. This position plays a critical role in supporting elderly, disabled, medically fragile, and vulnerable adults, ensuring they receive the services and resources needed to safely remain in their homes and communities.
The SA-IH Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the delivery of SA-IH services and related processing functions. This includes direct oversight of professional social workers and administrative staff, ensuring compliance with Medicaid regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local policies. The supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and support for complex and high-risk cases, and fosters collaboration with clients, families, medical providers, and community agencies.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a master's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of directly related experience; or a bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
