Social Work Resource Liaison- Center for Autism & Developing Brain- Days
Join experts in the diagnosis and treatment of autism at NYP's Center for Autism and the Developing Brain (CADB). Situated on the 200+ acre campus of NYP/Westchester Behavioral Health, CADB transforms the way patients with ASD and their families access therapeutic services, offering short-term treatment to children and adults including providing gold-standard evaluations, naturalistic ABA, parent coaching, group therapy, Early Intervention services, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Continue the success of our clinic by directly interacting with patients in our Early Intervention classroom. The CADB Social Work Resource Liaison (SWRL) will assist in the CADB Early Intervention classroom, develop lesson plans, prepare classroom materials, manage scheduling of services, authorizations, filing of all EI charts, and provide support to treatment providers. Training and supervision will be provided by world-renowned autism experts in the application of the Early Start Denver Model (a naturalistic form of Applied Behavior Analysis).
The SWRL will also assist the CADB clinical team in collaborating with a network of external programs to effectively identify community resources for our patients. The SWRL is also responsible to conduct intake interviews, assist patients in accessing CADB's services and evaluations, and be part of the administrative team responsible for oversight and maintenance of testing kits and treatment supplies, including regular cleaning, inventory, and monitoring of materials. This position works Monday- Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm at NYP/Westchester Behavioral Health in White Plains.
Preferred:
Prior experience work experience is behavioral health
Prior experience working with young children (under age 3)
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education or related field
Required:
Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
Knowledge of basic Social Work and human development skills
Experience with Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of department policies & basic Social Work skills
