Marketing & Social Media Coordinator — Eberly & Central Machine Works
Position Summary
Owns day-to-day marketing execution for Eberly and Central Machine Works — social media, content production, website/RSVP management, and daily marketing ops across Instagram, TikTok, and related platforms. Serves as the on-camera personality for both brands, produces short-form video, covers events, manages community engagement, and coordinates influencer partnerships.
Responsibilities
On-Camera & Content
- Recurring on-camera host for both brands in Reels, TikToks, and Stories; interviews chefs, bartenders, brewers, musicians, and guests
- Plans, shoots, and edits short-form video on a consistent cadence highlighting food, beverage, interiors, and events
- Develops recurring content series per brand; maintains a shared content calendar tied to events, menu launches, and beer releases
Event Coverage & RSVPs
- Covers key events (brunches, dinners, buyouts, live music, festivals, beer releases) with pre/day-of/post content
- Manages RSVPs and event listings end-to-end; tracks guest counts and routes inquiries
- Coordinates with events, beverage, and culinary teams on the confirmed-event workflow
Website & Daily Marketing Ops
- Keeps both websites current (listings, menus, hours, promotions)
- Handles daily marketing tasks: scheduling posts, prepping assets, queuing newsletters
- Drafts and sends email newsletters on a regular cadence; flags pipeline bottlenecks
Community Management
- Monitors and responds to DMs, comments, mentions, and reviews across both accounts
- Triages guest inquiries to the right team members
- Reaches out to communities that fit both brands for partnership and event-hosting opportunities
Influencer & Partnerships
- Identifies, vets, and reaches out to Austin-area creators and local media
- Coordinates hosted visits, comped tabs, and paid partnerships within budget
- Manages Instagram Collabs; maintains a roster of collaborators
Reporting
- Tracks reach, engagement, follower growth, saves, and shares; provides a monthly summary per venue
- Monitors platform trends and recommends content strategy adjustments
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated short-form vertical video experience with a portfolio
- Comfort as a recurring on-screen host
- Proficiency in CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Rush
- Strong written communication and brand voice
- Able to manage two brands' calendars, RSVP systems, and daily execution with follow-through
- Basic website/CMS update experience
- Reliable transportation between South Lamar and East Austin
- 21+ preferred for bar/taproom access; under-21 candidates considered
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior social/marketing experience (business, brand, or freelance)
- Existing personal content channels or following
- Familiarity with Meta Ads Manager or TikTok Ads
- Photography, graphic design, or motion design skills (Lightroom, Canva)
- Familiarity with Resy, OpenTable, Eventbrite, Yelp, Google, or Untappd
- Website/CMS experience (Squarespace, WordPress, or similar)
Schedule
Full-time, ~40–45 hrs/week. Onsite at both venues with one remote day/week. Evening/weekend availability required (baseline: Central Mondays / Eberly Wednesdays / on-site Thursdays).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $40,000–$45,000/year, based on experience
- Dining credit at Eberly, beer credit at Central Machine Works
- Subscription/material stipend
