Position Title: Social Media & Event Promotions Student Assistant

Department: Mass Media

Advertised Pay: 12.00

Campus Location: Washburn University

Position Summary:

The student assistant works with faculty to support the planning and promotion of department events and also manages social media for the department. The student needs to be dependable, organized, and be able to problem solve. Schedule is determined based upon department need, but the student should be available to work 8 - 10 hours per week on average.

Essential Functions:
Assist with the design and implementation of social media campaigns.
Create and distribute promotional content.
Assist with event planning and management.
Perform various job-related responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Must be a mass media major.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
Preferred video editing experience.
