The Social Media Coordinator drives day-to-day publishing, coordination, and community engagement across Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) social channels. This entry-level, remote role supports content programming for the PBA Tour, PBA Elite Regional Tour, PBA Senior Tour, PBA Junior, and special events - including live tournament coverage, award season, athlete storytelling, and partner activations - working closely with the social, marketing, content, and design teams.
What You'll Do
Draft, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X against a weekly content calendar.
Support live event coverage - leaderboards, winner graphics, highlights, clips, and real-time updates during tournament weeks, including weekends.
Support PBA Elite Regional Tour programming, including Tournament of the Week promotion, daily updates, and coordination with streaming partners.
Coordinate creative requests with designers and track them through to delivery.
Support tentpole moments including award season, player announcements, activations, and sponsor/partner collaborations.
Manage community engagement: monitor comments and messages, surface conversations worth joining, and ensure players and partners are tagged, credited, and amplified.
Coordinate user-generated content with athletes and streaming partners, including capture around practice days and event weekends.
Pull weekly performance metrics and support reporting on channel growth and content performance.
Maintain shared planning documents and content calendars so the full team has visibility into what is publishing and when.
What You'll Bring
Knowledge of the sport of bowling, its players, and its competitive landscape strongly preferred - as a fan, league bowler, or competitor.
Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms, especially short-form content trends and best practices.
Highly organized and reliable, able to manage multiple deadlines and communicate proactively when something is at risk.
A positive, coachable teammate who shares work early, takes direction well, and thrives in a small team with a defined process.
Strong writing and communication skills with an eye for platform-native copy.
Ability to work evenings and weekends during tournament weeks and live events, with occasional travel to tournaments and shoots.
Working knowledge of tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Adobe Premiere Pro preferred; basic graphic design ability a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Journalism, or a related field, plus 1-3 years of relevant social/digital media experience preferred; internships and creator experience considered.
Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 per year
