    Description

    About the Role

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to help manage our organization’s daily social media presence, support and turn performance data into actionable insights.

This role is ideal for someone who is a strong writer, understands how social platforms work, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of accuracy and sound judgment. AI is a core tool and resource on our team. We expect this role to use it well — to draft faster, test more ideas, and dig deeper into the numbers — with human judgment, editing, and fact-checking applied to everything that goes out.

    What the Role Result in

     Social Media Accountabilities

    • Draft, schedule, and publish daily content across major social platforms.

    • Adapt content to each platform’s format, audience, voice, and best practices.

    • Monitor comments, mentions, direct messages and escalate sensitive issues when needed.

    • Capture and publish real-time content during events, including live coverage.

    • Produce original short-form video — Reels, Shorts, TikToks, and vertical cutdowns — from event footage, studio content, and existing creative.

    • Monitor major TV networks and clip newsworthy segments for same-day social aggregation, using SnapStream and similar recording and clipping tools.

    • Caption, brand, and package clips for each platform, and move quickly when a segment is time-sensitive.

    • Follow our standards for clip length, attribution, and rights when using third-party broadcast footage, and flag anything questionable before posting.

    • Maintain the content calendar and coordinate with the digital team on creative assets.

    • Fact-check content before publication. Confirm required approvals, disclaimers, and tracking are in place before launch.

    • Upload and manage creative assets according to platform specifications.

    • Use AI tools in the day-to-day workflow — drafting and repurposing copy, generating platform variations, brainstorming concepts, summarizing comment activity, and analyzing performance data.

    • Review, edit, and fact-check all AI-assisted work before it publishes. AI drafts; people approve.

    Measurement & Reporting

    • Maintain recurring dashboards for spontaneous and paid performance.

    • Prepare reports and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

    • Turn performance data into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences.

    • Maintain consistent campaign naming and tracking conventions.

    What You Bring

    • Experience creating and personally publishing social media content.

    • A portfolio or links to your work, with audience or performance metrics when available.

    • Working knowledge of at least two major social media platforms.

    • Experience producing original short-form vertical video and editing clips for social — CapCut, Premiere, Adobe Express, Opus Clip, or comparable tools.

    • Preferred: Experience clipping broadcast or livestream video for rapid social distribution, and familiarity with SnapStream or a similar TV recording and search platform.

    • Strong writing, cutting, proofreading, and organizational skills.

    • Excellent attention to detail and sound judgment under pressure.

    • Understanding that social posts are public and paid media involves real spend.

    • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends around events.

    • Comfort using AI tools as part of your everyday process, plus the judgment to know where they help, where they get things wrong, and when a human has to make the call.

    • Hands-on experience with the assistants we use — ChatGPT, Grok, and Claude — is helpful, as is familiarity with AI tools for image, video, captioning, or transcription work.

    • Preferred: Experience with Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, or similar advertising platforms; experience with paid social, analytics, A/B testing, and campaign tracking.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Competitive hourly wage, based on experience and qualifications.

    • Paid time off and Float holidays.

    • Flexible scheduling when business and event needs allow.

    • Professional development opportunities to build skills in social media, digital marketing, advertising, and analytics.

    • Collaborative and supportive work environment.

    • Opportunities to work on meaningful campaigns and build a strong professional portfolio.
