Social Media & Content Specialist

Sterilite is looking for a creative and motivated Social Media & Content Specialist to join our Marketing team. We're looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas to our social channels, move quickly from idea to execution, and also manage the day-to-day digital marketing work that supports our brand.

This person should be a self-starter who enjoys taking ownership. You'll be expected to identify content opportunities, develop ideas, and get them out into the world - sometimes quickly. You should be comfortable creating a Reel with a smartphone and simple editing tools just as much as you are reviewing analytics, managing product reviews, or planning the next month's content.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute engaging social content that brings Sterilite products to life in useful, relevant, and creative ways.
• Create short-form video content, including Reels and YouTube Shorts, using a smartphone and tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar platforms.
• Manage Sterilite's social media calendar and day-to-day publishing across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
• Keep up with social trends and emerging platforms, including TikTok, and identify opportunities that make sense for the Sterilite brand.
• Write engaging social copy and blog posts that support Sterilite's content strategy.
• Work with our in-house photographer and Marketing team to develop larger or more polished creative assets when needed.
• Find resourceful ways to create effective content using existing assets, products, smartphone video, user-generated content, and other available resources.
• Manage and monitor ratings and reviews through Bazaarvoice and help identify trends and opportunities from consumer feedback.
• Use Google Analytics, social platform analytics, and other digital tools to track performance and understand what is working.
• Report on results and use those insights to improve future content and digital marketing efforts.
• Support product launches, retailer initiatives, campaigns, and other Marketing projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, content marketing, communications, or a related field.
• Strong social media instincts and the ability to develop content ideas independently.
• Experience creating short-form social video and confidence capturing quality content with a smartphone.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to write everything from a social caption to a longer-form blog post.
• Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Bazaarvoice, social media management platforms, and social analytics tools.
• Experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar content creation tools.
• A self-starter who takes ownership, follows through, and is comfortable moving projects forward without needing detailed direction.
• Resourceful and practical, with the ability to produce strong work without relying on large production budgets.
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
• Comfortable using data to understand performance and make recommendations.
• Curious about new platforms, technologies, and digital trends and willing to test new ideas when they make sense for the brand.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader Marketing team.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Candidates should provide examples of relevant social media, short-form video, writing, or other digital marketing work.
