Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Social Media Communications Engagement Manager for a national professional association within the aviation industry. This is a full-time, direct-hire, in-person position based in Euless, Texas, supporting the organization's communications team.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Social Media Communications Engagement Manager will lead the organization's social media presence and member engagement strategy across digital platforms. This role will oversee real-time engagement, content distribution, social listening, campaigns, and audience analytics while helping strengthen two-way communication with members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring strong digital communications expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to identify trends and emerging issues while collaborating with internal teams and volunteer leaders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and manage the organization's social media strategy, ensuring alignment with broader communications and organizational objectives while identifying opportunities to improve member engagement.
• Oversee daily social media activity, including content publishing, community management, real-time communications, rapid response, sentiment monitoring, and escalation of sensitive issues.
• Lead social media campaigns and content planning, including messaging, editorial direction, scheduling, quality control, and optimization for platform-specific best practices.
• Monitor social conversations and member sentiment to identify emerging issues, trends, recurring concerns, and opportunities for outreach, while supporting social listening initiatives with volunteer leaders and committees.
• Track and analyze social media performance, audience behavior, and engagement trends while providing actionable recommendations to leadership and continuously optimizing digital strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, volunteer communications leaders, creative partners, and other stakeholders to develop effective campaigns, strengthen digital engagement, and support organizational priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong background in social media management, digital communications, online community management, and audience engagement.
• Demonstrated understanding of social media algorithms, analytics, digital marketing strategies, social listening, and sentiment analysis.
• Proven ability to develop and execute campaigns that drive measurable engagement and reach.
• Exceptional communication, crisis management, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to maintain a consistent organizational voice.
• Familiarity with social media monitoring and analytics platforms such as Meltwater or similar tools, as well as experience recognizing emerging trends and bot/AI activity.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• Salary: $85,000 annually
• Full-time, direct-hire position
• In-person, Monday-Friday in Euless, Texas
• Minimal travel, if any
