Social Media Assistant

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and highly creative Social Media Assistant to join our team in Charleston/North Charleston, SC for 10 hours a week. This internship-like role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing within the hospitality and food & beverage industry for a nationwide brand. You will work closely with our marketing team to capture engaging content, support engagement on social media platforms, and help build the brands presence. This role primarily focuses on the capture of content through video and photography, ensuring content is timely and engaging. This is the perfect role for someone looking to expand their experience in marketing and hospitality such as a college/high school student or young professional. 

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photos and videos to enhance our social media channels.
• Schedule, upload and organize approved assets for publishing across social media platforms. 
• Maintain and update social media content calendar to ensure campaigns remain on track.
• Monitor published posts and engage with followers in a timely manner ensuring content is accurate and captivating. 
• Support brand campaigns and initiatives with creative ideas and execution.
• Monitor social media trends, platform features and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with the team and assist with additional social media tasks as needed to ensure goals are met.

Qualifications

• Passion for social media, marketing, hospitality and a love for biscuits and southern cooking. 
• Familiarity with major social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube and LinkedIn.
• Basic skills in content capture including photography and videography.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for marketing and hospitality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
