Overview

Islamorada Resort Collection is seeking a Social Media and Public Relations Manager to join the Commercial team. A passionate social media and public relations leader, this individual spearheads the social media strategy for the Islamorada Resort Collection, as well as orchestrates hosted stays for top-tier journalists and influencers. The goal is to lead a robust social media and PR strategy (along with our PR agency) that will result in best-in-class social media accounts, increased positive media coverage, increased social media engagement and revenue attributed to social media. As a hybrid position, this individual must be based in South Florida and willing to commute to Islamorada Resort Collection office in Islamorada, Florida at least 2x/month or based on business needs.

Skills required:

Must be a confident self starter with the ability to manage a project from start to completion. Strong knowledge of social media, influencer marketing, and video editing preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role. Detail oriented, creative, personable, articulate, and a creative problem solver preferred. Desire to be a part of a great company and the drive to work for great results is a must.

  • Manage and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms
  • Develop and maintain a structured editorial calendar across three resorts, two restaurants, and the Collection brand
  • Monitor trends, platform updates, and cultural moments to ensure content remains relevant and competitive
  • Concept, capture, and produce high-quality, video-forward content (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts) aligned with brand standards
  • Design and develop supporting social graphics as needed
  • Identify, vet, and manage influencer and brand partnerships, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and measurable performance outcomes
  • Oversee influencer and media stays from planning through execution, including itineraries, communication, and deliverables
  • Partner with PR agency, Marriott PR, and tourism organizations to support media coverage and curate impactful journalist and influencer experiences
  • Support the development and execution of integrated campaigns across social, influencer, and PR channels
  • Lead social media strategy and execution for events, promotions, and seasonal initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution and content development
  • Track and report on key performance metrics including engagement, reach, growth, and campaign performance
  • Leverage insights to optimize content strategy, improve performance, and inform future initiatives

Qualifications

Essential:
  • 3-5+ years of experience in social media, digital marketing, or PR, preferably within hospitality, travel, or lifestyle brands
  • Demonstrated ability to manage brand social channels and execute content strategies
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools (Sprout Social or similar)
  • Experience working with influencers and managing brand partnerships
  • Proficiency in content creation, including basic photography, videography, and editing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Professional presence and ability to interact with media, influencers, and internal stakeholders
  • Hybrid role; must be based in the Florida Keys or South Florida - mileage can be expensed
  • Fluency in English
