The Social Marketing Manager sits within a global social marketing team for Amazon Studios. They are responsible for developing and executing smart, inventive and highly creative social marketing campaigns for their assigned titles. They develop the social marketing strategies globally, setting a high-bar for innovation, passion and operational excellence. They are responsible for social strategy, social creative development, social listening analytics, community management and social innovation including AR/VR and paid media social products for their assigned titles.

The Social Marketing Manager proactively contributes to the cross-functional marketing team for a subset of Amazon Studios' slate. Reporting directly into a Head of Social Marketing / Social Lead (title TBD) for Amazon Studios, they collaborate across marketing globally, ensuring the highest standards for consistency and quality are maintained to drive viewership and attract new customers to Prime Video.

The optimal candidate for this role will have experience in owning social marketing campaigns as well as building deep partnerships with global platform partnerships, thus are able to fluidly shift from analytical discussions to strategy to operational to creative. They serve as one of the key points of contact for the social marketing leader globally, so their strategic judgment, creative acumen, awareness of industry trends and ability to think big and innovate must be strong.

Finally, the ideal candidate must thrive operating in a startup environment, where leaders are owners, wear multiple hats, and effortlessly think and act both strategically and tactically - from the development of strategic ideas to execution.

Key job responsibilities

Social Vision & Leadership

  • Oversee the social marketing campaigns for all assigned titles.
  • Guide the creation of break-through social marketing strategies that support and reinforces Amazon Studios and Prime Video's position in the streaming marketplace, in keeping with the business and marketing strategy for the brand.
  • Develop creative, inventive campaigns that inspire our customers while driving awareness and viewership.
  • Contribute strong strategic thinking to ideate and develop innovative, effective, and award-winning social marketing experiences that drive customers to Amazon Prime Video.
  • Raise the bar on social marketing strategies and tactics globally.
  • Embrace performance data, and refine future social marketing strategies based on these insights.
  • Contribute to campaign reviews and presentations, while successfully presenting social marketing concepts to senior leadership.
  • Think big. Drive new ideas that lead to innovative social marketing programs/events to support launches.
  • Proactively contribute to operational excellence, including policies, procedures and best practices.

Business Acumen

  • Proactively contribute to the social campaign management, producing work cost effectively and on schedule.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders internally, including but not limited to - PR, Media, Brand, Department Heads, Strategy Heads, Creative, INTL Partners, Cross-Functional Marketing Teams, Studios Leadership and the Prime Video group as well as externally, including filmmakers, show runners, executive producers and partner agencies, in a spirit of collaboration, building strong relationships and earning trust.
  • Work with key stakeholders to drive a schedule for projects while prioritizing and using resources effectively, communicating needs and trade-offs if schedule is at risk.
  • Optimize budgets, campaign calendars and resource allocations for social marketing major campaign beats and assignments.
  • Proactively work to solve problems and communicate to senior management, and making a high-quality judgment call when there is ambiguity.
