    ABA Instructor Tier 3 - River Street School - Windsor

    POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of Program Director or designee, the role of the Applied Behavior Analytic Instructor (ABAI) - Tier 3 is to support one-to-one, small and large group classroom instruction as well as train, implement, and/or oversee academic, behavioral, or other interventions and strategies based on the principles of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) as outlined in students individualized programs.

    • Duties/Responsibilities: Support daily functions of the school, including arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, and classroom coverage.
    • Provide 1:1 and/or small group instruction under teacher direction.
    • Implement academic and behavioral programming.
    • Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
    • Supervise students during instructional and non-instructional times.
    • Collect and input continuous and discontinuous data.
    • Complete required documentation and data entry into designated systems.
    • Participate in clinical reviews and team meetings.
    • Prepare instructional materials and organize the classroom environment.
    • Assist with daily living skills (e.g., toileting, hygiene).
    • Maintain Safety Care certification and implement procedures as needed.
    • Uphold CREC policies and perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree, RBT, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three (3) years of experience at an equivalent ABA program with individuals with autism and/or disabilities. Satisfactory performance evaluation(s) are required for achieving and maintaining this Level. Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with all staff. RBT supervision provided as available and approved; BCBA supervision hours provided as available and approved.
