    SOC Supervisor
    Location: Spartanburg County, SC
    Type: Direct Hire
    Schedule: On-Site, Monday-Friday with Off-Hours Flexibility

    The Position

    Our client is seeking an experienced SOC Supervisor to lead day-to-day physical security operations across a critical infrastructure and data center environment in Spartanburg County, SC.

    This role is responsible for supervising SOC-assigned guard force personnel, maintaining consistent execution of security procedures, and serving as the primary escalation point for incidents, system events, personnel issues, and operational exceptions. The SOC Supervisor will also oversee physical security technologies, support investigations, maintain audit readiness, and ensure effective coordination between site security operations and the company’s Global Security Operations Centre.

    Key Responsibilities

    SOC Operations & Leadership
    • Lead daily SOC operations and provide direct oversight of SOC-assigned security personnel across one or more critical infrastructure facilities.
    • Ensure guard force personnel consistently follow company policies, post orders, contractual requirements, and established security procedures.
    • Serve as the primary escalation point for physical security incidents, personnel concerns, system events, and operational exceptions.
    • Conduct shift briefings, operational updates, and periodic off-hours check-ins to maintain continuity across all shifts.
    • Manage scheduling, training coordination, performance monitoring, and accountability for a team of 12+ Security Operators.
    • Identify operational or compliance gaps and implement corrective actions to improve consistency and performance.

    Physical Security Systems
    • Oversee the monitoring and operation of enterprise physical security platforms including Genetec Security Center, VMS, PACS, intrusion detection, and alarm management systems.
    • Ensure surveillance, access control, and perimeter security systems remain operational and properly configured.
    • Audit access logs, credential records, cardholder databases, and access permissions to maintain system integrity.
    • Review alarm activity, video footage, and system data to identify anomalies, support incident response, and verify coverage.
    • Coordinate with technical teams and vendors on system issues, maintenance, upgrades, and operational improvements.

    Incident Management & Investigations
    • Lead initial triage of security incidents, policy violations, and operational events.
    • Gather and organize video, access control data, witness information, and other relevant evidence for investigative handoff.
    • Escalate significant incidents to the Manager of Security Operations and other leadership as required.
    • Produce clear incident reports, daily activity logs, after-action documentation, and operational summaries.
    • Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and external responders during security incidents and drills.

    Drone & Special Security Operations
    • Lead and mature the site Drone Operations program.
    • Supervise UAS deployments, operator performance, training, and adherence to established procedures.
    • Ensure drone operations comply with applicable regulatory requirements and company standards.
    • Support development of operational protocols and use cases for UAS within the security program.

    Compliance, Risk & Audit Support
    • Develop, maintain, and enforce SOC SOPs, post orders, escalation procedures, and site-specific operating standards.
    • Support Threat, Vulnerability, and Risk Assessment activities in coordination with internal security and risk teams.
    • Participate in customer visits, internal reviews, insurance assessments, regulatory audits, and compliance activities.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit readiness.
    • Support physical security compliance activities aligned with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and related security frameworks.

    Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Serve as the primary site SOC liaison to the company’s Global Security Operations Centre.
    • Ensure timely communication, escalation alignment, and consistent information sharing between local and global security teams.
    • Partner with Facilities, Site Operations, Safety, and Critical Infrastructure teams on incidents involving power, cooling, access, or other mission-critical systems.
    • Participate in emergency response drills, evacuation exercises, and business continuity planning.
    • Track SOC KPIs, staffing metrics, incident trends, and operational performance and provide regular updates to leadership.

    Required Qualifications
    • 5+ years of experience in physical security operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
    • Experience supporting data centers, utilities, power generation, telecommunications, critical infrastructure, or another high-security environment.
    • Proven experience supervising guard force personnel within a client-vendor or contract security structure.
    • Hands-on experience with Genetec Security Center or comparable enterprise VMS and access control platforms.
    • Strong understanding of PACS, IP-based surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm management technologies.
    • Experience managing security incidents and producing detailed incident reports, logs, and after-action documentation.
    • Working knowledge of data center physical security concepts including tiered access zones, mantraps, visitor management, and restricted-area controls.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills with the ability to operate effectively during high-pressure incidents.
    • Ability to work on-site and provide flexibility for off-hours monitoring, check-ins, and incident response.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience supervising UAS or drone operations within security or critical infrastructure environments.
    • Experience with Milestone XProtect, Avigilon Control Center, Lenel OnGuard, Software House C-CURE, or similar platforms.
    • Background supporting power generation, electrical distribution, substations, utilities, or other critical infrastructure assets.
    • Prior military, law enforcement, government, federal security, or corporate security experience.
    • Familiarity with data center operational systems such as BMS or DCIM.
    • Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, or comparable compliance and audit frameworks.
