Compensation: CAD 154,160 - CAD 231,300 - yearlyJob DescriptionIn this position you will join a fast-paced team delivering new, cutting‑edge SoC's for Solidigm Solid State Drives (SSD). As an ASIC emulation engineer, you will perform various functions including logic design, verification, implementation, and/or documentation for SoC (System on a Chip) emulation. You will collaborate with other functional teams for micro‑architecture, verification strategy/architecture, logic design, firmware development, and system simulation for the SoC development based on system requirements and customer feature requests. Regular responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Build & deliver emulation models for internal SoC development using industry standard tools & methodsPerform logic design and/or verification for functional units and sub‑systems in SoC IP and/or full chip designsPerform Register Transfer Level (RTL) design and simulation for SoCs using industry‑standard methodologiesDevelop/review test and execution plans, ensuring that Solidigm's semiconductor products will be successfulUse industry‑standard verification methodologies such as UVM, FW co‑simulation, formal property verification, etc.Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuitsPerform all aspects of the SoC emulation flow from high‑level design synthesis to place and route, timing and power to create a design database that is ready for manufacturing.Continuously investigate new tools and technologiesA successful candidate will demonstrate:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProject‑based teamwork experienceAdvanced digital logic design skillsProactive engagement with stakeholders across the team and organizationEffective time management skills and ability to balance competing priorities to ensure predictable delivery of projectsDeveloping recommendations and negotiating solutions for tactical issuesProactive identification of risks and issuesAbility to create and deliver effective project presentation to diverse stakeholder audiencesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalentStrong debugging and problem‑solving skills supported by relevant experienceDigital logic design and implementation experience in advanced technology nodesFamiliarity with performing functional verification, including verification methodologies such as UVM and FPVLanguages: C, C++, Python, Java, Verilog (or VHDL), and/or SystemVerilogPreferred Qualifications:10+ years of experience in ASIC/SoC development or equivalentAdvanced degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, etc.Experience leading technical teams to deliver complex designsFamiliarity with formal verification methods (e.g., SystemVerilog Assertions)Familiarity with standard ASIC/SoC design flows including synthesis, DFT, STA, UPF, and ECO flowsExperience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.) to track and manage project executionWorking knowledge of NVMe, PCIe, DDR and/or ARM standardsFamiliarity with big box emulation platformsProven ability to architect and lead IP/SoC‑level verification effortsThis position is also eligible to participate in Solidigm's restricted stock unit (RSU), restricted cash unit (RCU), and cash bonus programs.
