Snowflake Data Engineer

Location: Remote, Washington, DC

Duration: 4 months

Day-to-day Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Snowflake native capabilities.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
• Support data migration initiatives from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms.
• Develop and maintain database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Support reporting and analytics initiatives through integration with BI tools.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD processes for code deployment and release management.
• Ensure data quality, performance optimization, security, and documentation of data solutions.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake and cloud-based data engineering solutions.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT frameworks, and data integration best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SSIS package development.
• Proven experience with data migration projects and modernization initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with BI and analytics tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and Alteryx.
• Strong AWS experience: S3 bucket management, AWS Glue, AWS DMS, AWS Lambda.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps deployment practices.
• Strong SQL development, troubleshooting, and performance tuning skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
