As a Pilot Plant Technician, you will play a crucial role in our Research & Development team, supporting various snack platforms with a focus on equipment sanitation, setup, and operation.

Job Overview

As a Pilot Plant Technician, you will work the second shift (2 pm - 10 pm, Monday through Friday) once trained. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our pilot plant by autonomously setting up and running equipment for trials while maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. You will be part of a dynamic team that values agility, innovation, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform equipment sanitation and basic setup activities.
• Operate equipment safely, adhering to food safety requirements and conducting risk assessments.
• Conduct basic analytical tests and troubleshooting, continuously building skills in basic unit operations.
• Collaborate across teams within a platform to meet shifting work needs.
• Lift and transport ingredients or equipment, up to 55 lbs, as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong self-starter with a high regard for quality work.
• Experience working in teams to deliver results.
• Basic computer/technology skills (Office Suite, other programs).
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable operating equipment in a processing environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Understanding of food safety and human safety principles.
