Job Title: SMT Solder Rework Technician (Contract)

Job Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking two skilled SMT Solder Rework Technicians for a temporary project expected to last at least four weeks . This role requires precision soldering and surface-mount component rework experience, with a focus on safely removing and replacing small electronic components on flexible circuit boards.

Candidates must demonstrate strong soldering skills and attention to detail and will be required to pass a practical soldering test during the interview process. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced soldering technicians who are comfortable performing delicate electronic rework to exacting standards.

Shift & Pay:

• Pay Rate: $26.00 - $30.00/Hour (Based On Exp.)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Duties:

• Perform precision surface-mount technology (SMT) solder rework on flexible circuit boards
• Carefully remove existing 0402 capacitors from flex circuits
• Install and solder replacement 0402 capacitors with precision
• Handle sensitive electronic components and flexible circuits using appropriate care and handling techniques
• Ensure components are properly removed and replaced while maintaining the integrity of the circuit
• Perform delicate soldering tasks while maintaining consistent workmanship and quality standards

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience with precision SMT soldering and surface-mount component rework
• Hands-on experience removing and replacing small electronic components, including 0402-size components
• Ability to perform precision soldering on flexible circuits
• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive electronic components carefully
• Must successfully pass a practical soldering test during the interview process

Preferred Qualifications:

• J-STD soldering certification
• IPC soldering certification
• Previous experience performing precision electronic rework in a manufacturing or electronics environment

Physical Requirements:

• Excellent fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to perform detailed, precision work for extended periods
• Ability to maintain focus and accuracy while handling small, sensitive components
