SMT Process Engineer II

Description: Duties and Responsibilities Establishes processes and process control for SMT lines and related production areasEstablishes process monitoring to ensure processes remain in controlWorks in a cross-functional team to document and improve existing processesWorks in a cross-functional team to support Continuous Improvement aimed at driving Operational ExcellenceWorks with machine vendors for technical support as required to establish or improve production processesMay periodically assist in orienting training assigning and checking the work of other employees Uses technical knowledge and experience to troubleshoot issues on the Production floor including SMT THT and Selective Solder issuesRecommend changes andor upgrades to equipment work methods and the production process to improve efficiency and utilization of resourcesIdentifies process bottlenecks and devises solutions to resolveWorks with Quality to monitor scrap rework and other quality metrics and uses this data to drive process improvementsAdvises Manufacturing Engineering teams on floor plan designs and layouts to ensure infrastructure improvements support existing production processes and process improvements Scope Delivers results in accordance with goals and expectationsTakes ownership and responsibility for resultsOpenly communicates about commitments Works in a professional mannerShares information readily with team and larger departmentWorks well in a Team environment.
