SMT Operator/Programmer

Position Overview:

Program and operate SMT machine to properly pick, place, and solder electronic components onto printed circuit board assemblies. To proactively perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenances to achieve on-time customer delivery performance with zero defects while maintaining productivity and safety standards.

Job Function:

• Program and run Mycronic pick and place machines
• Program and run Mycronic Jet Printer
• Ability to program and set reflow oven
• Setup and operate assigned production equipment while achieving goals for quality, efficiency, and productivity
• Monitor the operation of equipment to ensure that assemblies are built to print and in compliance with applicable workmanship standards
• Inspect printed solder paste and component alignment for accuracy
• Understand and identify defects in accordance with applicable workmanship standard and class
• Perform manual placement of SMT and PIH components when needed
• Load feeders for equipment and wash boards as needed
• Electrical testing of assemblies as required
• Inspect product using microscope, halo light, and X-Ray as required
• Stenciling and screening of PCBs as required
• Troubleshooting the pick and place machine when issues occur

Skills Required:

• Attention to details.
• Mycronic training / machine skills is a plus
• Computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, job orders, specifications, drawings, schematics, process sheets, wiring diagrams, small print, and work instructions
• Knowledge of 3D X-Ray is a plus
• Component identification skills
• Recognize and identify the different types of solder paste and their applications
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610 specification.

Schedule:

• Day Shift (Monday – Thursday)
• 4–10-hour days
