Description

SMT Machine Operator I, II, III
We are currently seeking 2 highly experienced SMT Machine Operators to join our manufacturing team immediately. 

Location: Kearny Mesa, CA
Pay Range
  • $24.00/hr — 1 to 5 years of experience
  • $26.00/hr — 5+ years of experience
Position Summary
Responsible for operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSMT Machine Operator I
  • Load feeders and verify part numbers
  • Load and operate SMT machines
  • Operate screen printing equipment
  • Operate and monitor reflow ovens
  • Follow detailed work instructions and IPC standards
SMT Machine Operator II
In addition to Operator I responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot basic machine and production issues
  • Identify and resolve equipment-related problems efficiently
SMT Machine Operator III
In addition to Operator I & II responsibilities:
  • Understand and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Make minor program edits and adjustments
  • Analyze solder quality and adjust thermal profiles as needed
  • Communicate effectively with production and engineering teams
Qualifications
  • Experience operating automated SMT production equipment required
  • Phillips/Assembleon experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with IPC specifications required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good troubleshooting and communication skills preferred
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 1+ years of related SMT experience required
  • Higher pay available for candidates with 5+ years of experience
