Position Overview

The Small Group Account Manager will support a book of small group clients, serving as a key point of contact for day-to-day benefits administration, renewals, carrier communication, and client service needs. This person will work closely with internal teams, producers, carriers, and clients to ensure a smooth and high-quality client experience.

This is a fully remote role, ideal for someone with 3-5 years of employee benefits account management experience who is looking to grow within a modern, high-growth brokerage environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support a book of small group employee benefits clients
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for client questions, service issues, benefit changes, and general account support
  • Assist with renewals, open enrollment, carrier negotiations, and plan implementation
  • Work closely with producers, account executives, carriers, and internal service teams
  • Prepare client-facing materials, renewal presentations, benefit guides, and enrollment documents
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure a high level of responsiveness and service
  • Support claims, billing, eligibility, and enrollment issue resolution
  • Stay current on carrier products, market trends, compliance updates, and benefits technology platforms
  • Help identify opportunities to improve client experience, internal processes, and overall account performance

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in employee benefits account management, ideally within a brokerage or consulting environment
  • Experience supporting small group clients strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and ancillary benefits
  • Comfortable working in a technology-forward brokerage environment
  • Strong client service, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, deadlines, and competing priorities in a remote setting
  • Experience with renewals, open enrollment, carrier coordination, and day-to-day benefits administration
  • Active Life & Health license preferred or ability to obtain
