Description
Nucor Trademark Metals Recycling is seeking an Equipment Operator in Holly Hill, FL. In this role, you will operate equipment like forklifts and skid steers to move scrap metal materials and keep yard production running smoothly. Candidates must ideally possess at least 1 year of small equipment operation experience, be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions, and be able to pass a background check and hair drug test.

Job Responsibilities
- Operate small equipment such as forklifts and skid steers to move scrap materials, load shredder feed conveyors, push shred piles, and load trucks or railcars
- Conduct daily equipment inspections, report defects to supervisors, and maintain a clean, safe yard environment through general labor duties like sweeping and shoveling
- Maintain safety protocols by strictly adhering to company and OSHA safety guidelines and communicating actively with teammates via radio for traffic coordination and safety updates
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of small equipment operation experience (preferably in scrap metal, construction, or manufacturing) with a strong understanding of equipment operating principles and hazards
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in heat and all weather conditions
- High dependability, flexibility to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and physical ability to pass a hair drug test and background check
