Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team, specializing in the repair and maintenance of small engines. This role involves working on a variety of equipment including zero-turn mowers, tractors, and other small engine-powered machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain small engines on equipment such as zero-turn mowers, tractors, and similar machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, blade sharpening, and part replacements.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues efficiently and effectively.
- Consult with customers to understand their equipment problems and explain repairs needed.
- Maintain accurate service records and parts inventory.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and complies with company standards and regulations.
- Keep tools and work area organized and clean.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in small engine repair, especially with zero-turn mowers and tractors.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to operate service vehicles may be required.
