    Position Summary:

    The Slot Technician Lead is responsible for mentoring and guiding all slot technicians while also helping with day-to-day duties and operations as needed. As the Slot Technician Lead you will demonstrate and exemplify Jamul Casino Resort's mission and values by embodying the acronym F.I.R.S.T. (Fun, Integrity, Respect, Service, Team).

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
    • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to team members regarding performance daily.
    • Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
    • Provides recommendation for team member performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling).
    • Assists and contributes to quarterly and annual Technician evaluations.
    • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful guest service to all guests and team members.
    • Provide direction and supervision to Slot Technicians.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with all aspects of slot machine maintenance i.e., moves, conversions, and repair.
    • Responsible for oversight of electronic gaming device activities for adherence to established procedures in collaboration with Slot Technical Assistant Managers.
    • Trains Technical Team Members
    • Directs and performs special projects as assigned.
    • Directs and performs preventative maintenance of slot machines: clean, inspect, adjust, and test various machine parts.
    • Perform floor maintenance: trouble-shoot and repair machine malfunctions and system problems as they occur during gaming.
    • Assist guests with questions and complaints regarding slot machines.
    • Provide answers and explanations and rectify problems as appropriate.
    • Meet departmental and company policy of uniforms, appearance and grooming requirements.
    • Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
    • Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
    • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
    • Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.
    • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
    • Provides daily feedback and evaluation for all Technician on shift.

    Requirements / Qualifications / Skills

    • High school diploma or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • One-year related experience and/or training.
    • Electronic/mechanical troubleshooting and use of electronic test equipment experience required (ex: board testers, multi-meters, o-scopes).
    • Must be able to acquire and maintain appropriate gaming license.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Team members must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

    • Ability to earn and maintain Gaming License.
    • Valid Driver's license.

    • Team members could be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke.
    • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required. Additionally, Spanish and/or Tagalog language skills highly preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
