Slitting Operator

Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, tyvek suit, and other safety equipment as needed. Job Title: Slitting Operator
Location: West Caldwell, NJ
Type: Contract
Compensation: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Work Model: Onsite
Hours:6:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (with potential for OT)

Responsibilities
• Operate slitting and rewinding equipment to process raw materials, medical tapes, and coated laminates and films.
• Complete in-process checks and batch record documentation accurately according to manufacturing orders.
• Set up equipment correctly, including wind direction and tension settings, in accordance with SOPs.
• Use slitting tools and machine components safely and effectively, including scissors, crush, and razor knives.
• Label, package, and prepare finished materials for transfer or shipment as required.
• Clean equipment and maintain the work area in compliance with safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards.
• Complete all aspects of the slitting operation, including in-process control activities and batch record documentation accordance with manufacturing orders.
• Follow manufacturing procedures and support safe, efficient production operations as needed.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4-5 years of production or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic math skills and ability to complete production documentation accurately.
• Comfort using basic tools, equipment, and manufacturing machinery.
• Able to wear safety glasses, hearing protection, full face/half mask respirator, latex gloves, tyvek suit, and other safety equipment as needed.
