Slitter Operator

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate slitting equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Understand shop-floor computer interfaces and total machine operations.

• Follow Product Process Plans and established quality standards.

• Understand palletizing and scanning processes.

• Communicate closely with Press Operators regarding quality issues that arise during the slitting process.

• Identify potential problem areas and alert plant supervision, Quality Assurance, and/or the press crew.

• Participate in weekly safety and quality meetings.

• Perform hazardous waste management duties as required.

• Maintain speed and accuracy while operating production equipment.

• Lift up to 45 lbs.

• Work overtime as required.

Qualifications:

• Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write sufficiently to follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Comfortable using shop-floor computer systems.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and accuracy.
• Must be dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
