Role: Slalom Flex (Project Based) - Senior Program Manager

Location: Denver, CO (open to remote, supporting MST working hours)

We are seeking a highly effective Senior Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives for our client. This role is ideal for an experienced consultant who excels in navigating ambiguity, driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and translating strategic objectives into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring strong program and project management expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to engage credibly with executive leadership while working closely with business and technical teams. This individual will be expected to challenge assumptions, ask thoughtful questions, provide informed recommendations, and help drive clarity around requirements, priorities, and desired outcomes.

What You'll Do

Program Leadership

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex programs and strategic initiatives across multiple workstreams.
• Establish and maintain program governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Drive program execution while balancing competing priorities and evolving business needs.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives, technology solutions, and delivery outcomes.

Stakeholder Management & Executive Engagement

• Build strong relationships with business leaders, executive stakeholders, and technical teams.
• Facilitate decision-making by synthesizing complex information into clear recommendations and actionable next steps.
• Lead meetings and discussions with confidence, engaging stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Influence without authority and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.

Requirements & Business Alignment

• Partner with stakeholders to identify, define, refine, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
• Challenge assumptions and ask probing questions to uncover underlying business needs and desired outcomes.
• Help teams move beyond documenting requirements to understanding what the organization is ultimately trying to achieve.
• Translate business objectives into actionable program plans and delivery roadmaps.

Delivery Excellence

• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks while developing mitigation strategies.
• Manage shifting priorities and evolving requirements in fast-paced environments.
• Drive accountability across teams to achieve program objectives and key milestones.
• Monitor program health and communicate status, impacts, and recommendations to leadership.

What You'll Bring

Required

• 8+ years of project and/or program management experience leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience serving as a consultant or advisor within complex organizational environments.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and create structure in evolving situations.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship management skills.
• Proven ability to influence decisions, drive alignment, and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience gathering, defining, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
• Experience managing multiple priorities in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Preferred

• Experience leading technology-enabled transformation, infrastructure, or enterprise initiatives.
• Familiarity with data center environments, infrastructure programs, or large-scale technology implementations.
• Experience working within complex enterprise organizations undergoing organizational or technology change.
• PMP, PgMP, Agile, Scrum, or other relevant project/program management certifications.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $70 to $89/HR depending on experience. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
