Ivy Tech Community College seeks a hands-on, industry-experienced Skills Training Instructor to launch and deliver a skills training program in network cabling and fiber optic installation. This is a full-time instructional role responsible for teaching both the fiber optic installer and the network cable installation network cable program within an intensive, cohort-based model. The instructor is the primary campus point of contact for program delivery, leading classroom and laboratory instruction, preparing students for industry certification exams, managing cohort logistics, maintaining the training lab, and coordinating the program's culminating employer fair.
Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the requirements of the position and the candidate's relevant experience and education.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of three years of verifiable field experience in low-voltage cabling, copper and/or fiber optic installation, or related telecommunications/infrastructure work. Experience must be documentable, as verifiable field experience is a prerequisite for BICSI Technician certification.
Alternatively, one year of field experience may be sufficient when paired with completion of a formal apprenticeship program.
Demonstrated ability to teach technical, hands-on content to adult learners through prior instruction, corporate training, apprenticeship leadership, or equivalent experience.
Ability to manage a lab-based learning environment and to pace instruction across a multi-week cohort model.
Ability to manage recurring cohort logistics independently, including enrollment, scheduling, materials, lab resources, and student tracking.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cohorts in parallel while maintaining quality and compliance.
Comfort with data entry, tracking, and reporting for program metrics and gift reporting.
Clear, professional written and verbal communication, with the ability to represent the program to campus leadership, students, and employer partners.
A combination of technical education, industry certification, and verifiable field experience sufficient to demonstrate mastery of the subject matter.
