Position: Skilled Trades Trainee
Job DescriptionGabletek is seeking motivated Skilled Trades Trainees interested in building a long-term career in industrial automation and skilled trades. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals looking to gain hands-on experience and develop valuable technical skills in a growing industry. We welcome both experienced candidates and individuals with little to no experience who are eager to learn.Trainees will receive exposure and training in three primary skilled trades areas:
- Machine Building
- Electrical
- Pipefitting
This position offers hands-on learning within an automation environment while working alongside experienced professionals. Trainees will participate in skilled trades training classes and practical shop experience designed to build foundational knowledge and real-world skills used in automation, manufacturing, and industrial systems.
Training Classes Include- Machine building fundamentals
- Industrial electrical basics
- Pipefitting fundamentals
- Reading mechanical and electrical blueprints
- Safe tool usage and shop safety procedures
- Automation equipment and robotic system exposure
- Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting basics
What Trainees Will Learn- Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings
- Machine assembly and installation techniques
- Basic industrial electrical wiring and troubleshooting
- Pneumatics, hydraulics, and pipe routing fundamentals
- Safe use of hand tools and power tools
- Preventative maintenance and automation system support
- Understanding robotic and automated manufacturing equipment
- Teamwork, communication, and problem-solving in an industrial setting
