    The Big Task
     
    We’re looking for a Trades Recruiter who knows how to find great people—not just wait for them to apply. You’ll own full-cycle recruiting for our skilled trades positions, proactively sourcing and headhunting top talent while building strong pipelines for our future.
     
    Our approach to recruiting is focused on quality, not simply quantity. We’re intentional about finding the right people for the right roles—professionals who fit our culture, share our values, and have the potential to build a long-term career with Thornton & Grooms. This role is about building relationships and making great hires, not simply filling openings as quickly as
    possible.
     
    You’ll partner closely with our Operations and Employee Experience teams to attract professionals who fit our culture and are committed to excellence in the trades.
     
    What You’ll Do
    • Own full-cycle recruiting for HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Drains, and other skilled trades positions
    • Proactively source and headhunt passive candidates for hard-to-fill roles
    • Build relationships with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, veteran organizations, and workforce development partners
    • Conduct phone screens and interviews and coordinate the hiring process with managers
    • Champion our employee referral program
    • Maintain strong candidate pipelines and deliver an exceptional candidate experience
    • Attend career fairs, trade shows, hiring events, and community events
    • Partner with Marketing on creative recruiting campaigns
    • Track recruiting results, including time-to-fill, source of hire, retention, and hiring goals
    • Manage candidate activity and maintain accurate records within our ATS
    What We’re Looking For
    • 1-3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
    • Skilled trades, blue-collar, or technical recruiting experience preferred
    • Knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Drains, or related trades is a plus
    • Proven ability to proactively source and recruit passive candidates
    • Strong communication, interviewing, organization, and relationship-building skills
    • Comfortable managing multiple openings in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with ATS platforms, recruiting technology, and Microsoft Office
