Skilled Telecommunications & IT Technician
Alpha Scanlon – Pittsburgh, PA (Serving Western PA and the Tri-State area)
Position Overview:
This is a field-based role focused on the installation, maintenance, and service of telecommunications and IT systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and service VoIP/telecom systems (hosted and premise-based).
- Perform structured cabling (Cat5/6, fiber, terminations, testing).
- Install and support surveillance and access control systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot network equipment (switches, routers, access points).
- Support paging systems, door phones, and emergency communication systems.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in telecom (Hosted and or premise), IT, or low-voltage work.
- Strong troubleshooting and hands-on installation skills.
- Professional, reliable, and able to work independently.
- Must have a reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursed at the national rate).
Compensation & Benefits:
- $23/hour and up (based on experience).

Schedule & Environment:
- Typical hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Field-based; most days do not require reporting to the Pittsburgh office first.
