Charm City Construction & Home Repair is looking for an experienced, dependable, hands-on construction professional to join our growing residential construction team.


We are looking for someone who can actually do the work, not someone who needs to be taught the basics. Our projects vary, so we need a well rounded person with experience in several areas of residential construction.

The ideal candidate has experience with several of the following:

• Roofing and roof repairs
• Carpentry and framing
• Interior and exterior trim
• Tile installation
• Bathroom and kitchen renovations
• Drywall and finishing
• Deck construction and repairs
• Doors and windows
• Siding and exterior repairs
• General residential renovations
• Basic demolition and job-site preparation
• Reading basic plans/drawings
• Measuring, cutting and installing materials accurately
• Identifying problems and figuring out practical solutions

We are especially interested in someone who can:

• Work independently without constant supervision
• Take ownership of a project and see it through
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe job site
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and our team
• Read and understand basic construction plans
• Measure accurately and work with hand and power tools
• Troubleshoot problems in the field
• Work well with other trades and crew members
• Help train less-experienced workers
• Take a leadership role when needed

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of residential construction experience preferred
• Strong hands-on experience in carpentry, roofing, tile, drywall, decks or multiple construction trades
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Able to safely lift materials and perform physical construction work
• Must be dependable, punctual and take pride in your work
• Experience working in occupied homes is a plus
