Read blueprints and follow state and local building codes.2. Determine the materials and equipment needed for a job.3. Install pipes and fixtures.4. Inspect and test installed pipe systems and pipelines.5. Troubleshooting malfunctioning systems.6. Maintain and repair plumbing systems.7. Install and repair water, gas, and other piping systems in the district facilities.8. Install plumbing fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, and appliances, such as dishwashers and water heaters.9. Clean drains, remove obstructions and repair or replace broken pipes and fixtures.10. Also help maintain septic systemslarge, underground holding tanks that collect waste from the district facilities not connected to a sewer system.
