Job Summary:
\n
The Skilled Laborer will work as part of a team on selective demolition job sites, performing various manual labor tasks under the supervision of the Foreman or Superintendent. This role requires experience in demolition or construction, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must also have the ability to read and comprehend construction plans to support accurate demolition work. While a clean driving record is not required, candidates with a clean driving record will be eligible for higher pay upon hiring. Reliable transportation to job sites is required.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform selective demolition tasks, including but not limited to tearing down walls, ceilings, and structures while preserving surrounding areas that must remain intact.
- \n
- Safely operate hand and power tools to complete demolition tasks as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent.
- \n
- Assist with the removal of debris, materials, and equipment from job sites.
- \n
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to ensure proper demolition techniques are used.
- \n
- Help set up and break down equipment and materials at the beginning and end of each workday.
- \n
- Read and comprehend construction plans to assist in the accurate execution of demolition work.
- \n
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all OSHA safety standards.
- \n
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and supplies as needed.
- \n
- Communicate with the Foreman/Superintendent and crew to coordinate tasks and report progress.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, demolition, or a similar skilled labor position.
- \n
- Experience in selective demolition is preferred.
- \n
- Ability to read and comprehend construction plans and follow detailed instructions is preferred.
- \n
- Proficiency in operating demolition tools and equipment.
- \n
- Reliable transportation to job sites is required.
- \n
- While a clean driving record is not required, candidates with a clean record will receive higher pay at the time of hiring.
- \n
- Strong understanding of safety practices and the ability to work in compliance with OSHA standards.

- Physical ability to lift/move heavy materials and work in varying environmental conditions.
