Were hiring a Skilled Industrial Painter in Youngstown, OH. This is an on-site role in a busy steel manufacturing environment. Were looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, follows directions, and works safely every day.
Hours
1st Shift: 6:30 AM 3:30 PM
Full-time schedule (40 hours/week typical)
Pay
$17.00 $24.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
File, grind, sand, and smooth filled or repaired surfaces using power and hand tools
Inspect finished work for quality, alignment, and overall appearance
Fit and weld replacement parts as needed, then grind welds smooth using power grinders and tools
Prime and paint steel surfaces using HVLP spray equipment and motorized sanders
Follow supervisor instructions on what to repair/restore and expected timeframes
Follow safety and PPE requirements and keep the work area clean and organized
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Ability to follow supervisor instructions
Knowledge of machinery, tools, and basic maintenance
Understanding of raw materials, production processes, and quality control
Ability to visualize how parts will look after movement or rearrangement
Ability to organize actions in a set order or pattern based on specific rules
Heavy industrial painting experience
Steel surface prep and priming skills
Preferred Education and Experience
Welding experience (preferred, not required)
