Blake Development Corporation is seeking a reliable and experienced Skilled Laborer to assist with residential custom home construction and remodeling projects. This hands-on position supports multiple phases of construction, including demolition, framing, finish work, site preparation, and punch list completion. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works safely, and contributes to a productive jobsite.
Responsibilities
- Perform general construction labor on custom home and renovation projects.
- Assist with demolition, site preparation, and material handling.
- Complete framing, blocking, trim, siding, and other carpentry-related tasks.
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, hardware, and fixtures as directed.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment.
- Identify and report jobsite issues to supervisors.
- Assist subcontractors and other crew members when needed.
- Complete punch list items and final project details.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, subcontractors, and team members.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of residential construction experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with 3 years of driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
- Ability to read and follow plans, drawings, and work orders.
- Experience with framing, trim carpentry, remodeling, or general construction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass background checks as required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, climb ladders, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
