About this Opportunity

Performs a variety of clerical functions for employees of and visitors to the Parks and Recreation Department as well as building supervisor duties for the Northwest Recreation Center.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet everyone who comes in the front door and check in patrons for activities and handle equipment rentals;
  • Register patrons for Parks & Recreation programs and events as well as reservations and rental space;
  • Answers telephone;
  • Performs clerical duties such as filing, copying, and collating;
  • Keep running logs for building usage;
  • Prepares, maintains, and submits reports as required;
  • Prepare deposits from daily receipt fees;
  • Adheres to and enforces facility policies, rules and regulations and educates patrons about them;
  • Assists in the tear down and set up of rooms as needed as well as general upkeep and cleanliness of facility. This includes lifting 5-10lbs, up to 25lbs occasionally;
  • Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures and safety practices;
  • Attends work regularly at the designated place and time;
  • Supports continuous process improvement initiatives;
  • Performs related work as required.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Requires some experience working with elementary age children and/or adults in group activities; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Supplemental Information

Work Schedule

  • Varied hours of Monday - Friday 5pm - 9pm, Saturday 8am - 6pm, Sunday 8am - 4pm, an average of 4-15 hours per week
