Position Type: Full-Time, Long-Term Opportunity
Job Location: Washington, WV
Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm M-F
Compensation: $17.85/hour

Benefits: Eligible for complete benefits package after 90 days


Overview/Summary:

The Site Stores Operator plays a critical role in supporting site stores and receiving operations. This position ensures safety, accuracy, and efficiency in handling the receipt, internal movement, inventory management, and delivery of materials, mail, and shipping documents. The Operator works to meet or exceed cost objectives while upholding high standards of productivity and quality in every aspect of the job.


What You Will do:

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Safety & Efficiency: Execute all tasks safely, independently, and with minimal supervision, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Operate site inventory control systems to accurately track and manage materials, including sorting, receiving, and updating inventory records.
  • Material Handling: Efficiently use pallet jacks, dock levelers, gas forklifts, and stand-up forklifts for unloading trucks and transporting materials around the site.
  • Inspection & Reconciliation: Unload deliveries, inspecting for any damage, and ensure all received materials are accurately processed in the inventory system.
  • Freight Delivery: Manage the delivery of packages and freight as required, ensuring timely and secure handling.
  • Inventory Audits: Actively participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Communication: Regularly monitor and respond to site stores email and phone inquiries, providing prompt and professional service.
  • Technology Use: Operate barcode scanners and labeling equipment to streamline inventory processes and ensure accurate tracking.
  • Housekeeping: Perform daily housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Additional Tasks: Take on various other responsibilities related to stores operations, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in warehouse or inventory operations is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and cover long distances.
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently; up to 55 pounds on occasion.
  • Work Hours: Must be able to work regular 8-hour shifts, with occasional overtime as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Familiarity with basic computer systems and ability to navigate site-specific inventory management software.
    • Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate inventory management and material handling.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or farming preferred.
  • Candidates must be safety-conscious with a general understanding of OSHA guidelines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed work instructions.
  • Physical requirements include standing, bending, and lifting up to 55 pounds repeatedly.
  • Must work in an industrial environment and follow all safety protocols.
  • Ability to meet production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Candidates must pass a drug screening and background check prior to starting.
