Responsibilities:

As a Site Safety Specialist in Philadelphia PA, you’ll support a fast-paced commercial construction project where safety is more than a priority — it’s a core value. This role is heavily field-focused and ideal for a safety professional who enjoys being boots on the ground, building relationships with crews, and driving safe work practices throughout all phases of construction.

HazTek is seeking a safety professional to provide onsite safety support for a project involving excavation, crane activity, steel erection, and precast concrete operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily onsite safety oversight for active construction operations
  • Conduct daily safety audits, inspections, and observations
  • Support subcontractor safety compliance and safe work practices
  • Monitor excavation, crane, steel, and precast concrete activities
  • Assist with incident prevention, reporting, and overall jobsite safety culture
  • Support work activities involving contaminated soil and environmental controls
Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of direct construction safety experience required
  • Strong boots-on-ground field presence required
  • Experience supporting excavation and heavy construction activities preferred
  • Understanding of HAZWOPER environments, contaminated soil operations, and air monitoring preferred
  • Experience working around crane operations, steel erection, or precast concrete strongly preferred
  • Procore experience preferred
  • OSHA 30 required
