Compensation

Rate: $52-$56/hr
Per Diem: None Available
Pay Frequency: Weekly


Schedule

Hours: 40-50 hours/week
Schedule: Monday-Friday (possible Saturdays & Sundays based on workload)
Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM


Project Scope

This position provides lead safety oversight for a long-term retrofit project at an active fulfillment center in Dayton, OH. The Site Safety Manager (Lead) will oversee safety operations during floor demolition, site remediation, and electrical installation while coordinating work in a fully operational facility.

The role requires experienced safety leadership, the ability to manage multiple trades, and proactive coordination around live site conditions to ensure work is performed safely without disrupting ongoing operations.


Qualifications

OSHA 500 required
7+ years of experience in lead safety roles
Strong background in construction safety environments
Experience supporting multi-trade projects in active/occupied facilities


Additional Requirements

Ability to lead safety efforts in an operating facility
Strong field presence with hands-on safety leadership
Excellent documentation, reporting, and audit skills
Effective communication with site leadership, trades, and contractors
Proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead safety authority for all on-site activities
  • Enforce OSHA compliance and site-specific safety programs
  • Conduct daily safety audits, inspections, and job hazard analyses
  • Coordinate work activities around active operations
  • Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site orientations
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and compliance records
  • Partner with project leadership and multiple trades to drive a strong safety culture

Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of construction safety standards
  • Proven leadership in multi-trade construction environments
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in dynamic jobsite conditions

Knowledge Base

Expertise in OSHA regulatory compliance, construction safety management, demolition activities, electrical safety, hazard analysis, incident investigation, and safety program implementation within active facilities.
