The Site Safety and Health Officer is responsible for developing and managing safety and loss prevention programs on construction sites.
They assist in controlling hazards, supervise emergency procedures, develop safety training, conduct safety audits, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key duties include documenting incidents, supporting audit processes, monitoring contractor safety adherence, maintaining safety records, facilitating safety meetings, and managing staff through evaluations, training, and mentoring.
Qualified candidates should have construction safety management experience, a relevant Bachelor's degree, strong communication skills, and be willing to travel.
The role requires flexibility, organizational skills, and physical ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
It is an exempt position reporting to the Project Manager and Vice-President of Operations, with some eligibility for a monthly auto allowance.
