Job Title: Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) - Federal Construction
Job Description
This role serves as the full-time Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for a federal construction project, focusing on safety and compliance throughout all construction activities. The SSHO ensures adherence to federal, state, and local safety regulations, implements and administers the Accident Prevention Plan (APP), and acts as the designated Competent Person for multiple safety disciplines on-site.

Work Environment
This position is based on-site at a federal health care facility during a roof replacement project on the main hospital. The work environment is a large, operational medical campus with active construction areas, requiring careful coordination between construction activities and ongoing healthcare operations. The role involves regular presence on the construction site, including exposure to typical construction conditions such as outdoor work, varying weather, noise, and the use of scaffolds, ladders, cranes, and other equipment. The environment is highly regulated, with close adherence to federal construction and safety standards, and requires professional attire and appropriate personal protective equipment suitable for a healthcare-related federal facility and active construction site.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.07/hr.
