  1. Client Responsibility and Direction

Client retains overall responsibility and accountability for the Project safety program, including the SSHO scope, priorities, supervision, acceptance of work product, and overall performance. The temporary worker supports client in carrying out assigned SSHO activities and does not independently assume client's contractual, legal, or project-level safety obligations.

  • Work under the direction of client Project Management and the designated client EHS representative.
  • Coordinate with Airbus safety representatives, subcontractor supervision, and site personnel on client behalf, within the authority provided by client.
  • Exercise stop-work authority when an imminent danger, unsafe condition, or unsafe act is observed, and immediately notify client management.
  • Document observations and recommended corrective actions. Client retains responsibility for final disposition, enforcement, and escalation when additional management action is required.
  • Attend Project coordination meetings, safety meetings, and Airbus-required safety functions as directed by client.
  1. Assigned Safety Support Duties

General EHS Support

  • Support implementation of OSHA requirements, Airbus Contractor Safety Management requirements, client EHS requirements, and the Project Site-Specific Safety Plan.
  • Promote injury prevention, hazard recognition, risk mitigation, and a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Support implementation and review of Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and safety plans.
  • Provide field coaching and communicate noncompliance to the responsible supervisor and client.

Site Inspections and Observations

  • Perform and document formal safety inspections a minimum of three days per week, or as otherwise directed by client.
  • Conduct field observations whenever onsite and identify unsafe conditions or behaviors.
  • Confirm that immediate corrective measures are taken when feasible and track open items through closure or escalation to client.
  • Participate in client and Airbus monthly Project safety audits as directed.

Inspection focus areas may include fall protection, aerial and scissor lifts, crane and rigging operations, electrical installations, trenching, material handling, solar panel installation, foreign object debris (FOD) controls, housekeeping, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Documentation and Reporting

  • Complete client-required daily documentation when onsite, including pre-work safety checklists, observations, Project safety reports, housekeeping reports, weather records, and equipment inspection verification.
  • Prepare weekly inspection reports, toolbox talk reviews, corrective action logs, safety trend reviews, and subcontractor compliance reviews.
  • Prepare monthly safety summaries, leading and lagging indicator reports, OSHA metrics reviews, and Airbus compliance reports as assigned.
  • Use client-approved forms and document management systems, and submit records through client-established channels.
  • Provide draft or supporting information for external or formal reports. Client will review and authorize submissions to Airbus, regulatory authorities, and other external parties unless a specific submission has been expressly delegated.

  • Do not make admissions, commitments, or formal representations on client' behalf unless specifically authorized.

Training and Orientation Support

  • Review available certifications, qualifications, AHAs, and competent-person designations and report deficiencies to client.
  • Participate in subcontractor safety meetings and track assigned corrective actions.
  • Escalate recurring or unresolved noncompliance to client. Client retains responsibility for contractual enforcement and formal direction to subcontractors.

  • Respond to and document environmental events as directed, with immediate escalation to client.

Emergency and Weather Support

  • Support emergency-response planning, drills, contact-list maintenance, and first-aid supply checks.
