The Safety Inspector is responsible for the development and implementation of site-specific health and safety programs. The role includes working knowledge of OSHA reporting, HAZWOPER 40, EM-385-1-1 compliance, and the ability to provide a method statement for establishing and managing a Safety Department in support of major industrial or construction projects. Ensures ongoing compliance and reporting for all regulatory and company requirements.
- Health & Safety Program Management:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety programs in line with OSHA, HAZWOPER, and EM-385-1-1 standards.
- Prepare detailed method statements and maintain all health and safety documentation.
- Inspection & Compliance:
- Conduct routine health and safety inspections and audits.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Training & Reporting:
- Train staff on safety procedures and compliance.
- Maintain compliance records and submit reports as required.
- Working Conditions:
- Duties include office work and field safety inspections; emergencies may require out-of-hours response.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, and inspect various facility and construction environments.
