Job Description:

Help build more reliable, resilient, and self-managing technology services. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll bring deep production support experience and hands on SRE expertise to improve how services are monitored, operated, and continuously enhanced.

You'll work with application, infrastructure, and support teams to reduce recurring incidents, automate manual work, and improve service reliability. This role offers the opportunity to apply SRE practices in real production environments and contribute to a practical evolution toward AIOps and self-healing operations. You'll see the impact of your work on stronger service performance, faster recovery, and less reliance on manual intervention.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Apply Site Reliability Engineering practices to improve the availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of production services.

  • Define, monitor, and report on service level indicators (SLIs), service level objectives (SLOs), and reliability trends.

  • Participate in incident response, troubleshoot complex production issues, coordinate recovery, and contribute to blameless post incident reviews.

  • Use incident, alert, and performance data to identify reliability risks, recurring issues, and opportunities for prevention.

  • Develop and maintain automation, scripts, and tooling to reduce repetitive operational work and improve response and recovery.

  • Improve monitoring, observability, alert quality, event correlation, and diagnostic capabilities across applications and infrastructure.

  • Create and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, service documentation, and recovery guidance.

  • Partner with application development, L2/L3 support, infrastructure, cloud, security, and business teams to embed reliability into service design and delivery.

  • Support capacity, performance, availability, and resilience planning, including testing and validation of recovery procedures.

  • Identify and implement appropriate AIOps capabilities, such as anomaly detection, event correlation, and automated remediation.

  • Help design and implement safe self-healing capabilities, with clear controls, testing, monitoring, and escalation paths.

  • Contribute to reliability roadmaps and prioritized improvement backlogs and communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders.

  • Share SRE practices and operational knowledge with colleagues, supporting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 8+ years of overall experience in production support, IT operations, or related technology roles.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience applying Site Reliability Engineering practices in production environments.

  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex production incidents, supporting service restoration, and conducting root cause analysis.

  • Practical experience defining or using SLIs, SLOs, service availability measures, or other reliability metrics.

  • Experience creating automation to reduce manual operational effort or improve incident detection, response, or recovery.

  • Working knowledge of monitoring, observability, logging, alerting, and event management practices.

  • Experience improving production processes, runbooks, operational readiness, or incident and problem management.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with application, infrastructure, cloud, security, and support teams.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use operational data to identify and prioritize reliability improvements.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical findings and explain service risks and progress to stakeholders.

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Competencies:

  • 8+ years' experience in Production Support management

  • 8+ years' experience in ITSM

  • 1 + years' experience AI Ops

  • 4+ years' experience in AI/ML/Monitoring/Automation
