Job Description

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SRE strategy, observability, automation, and reliability by design and a proven ability to reduce incidents, improve recovery, and scale engineering-led operations across complex banking and payments environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and lead SRE practices, standards, and governance across banking and payments domains.
• Establish and automate observability, including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Implement SLO/SLI and error budget frameworks to drive engineering priorities and accountability.
• Reduce incidents, MTTR, and operational toil through automation and resilient engineering patterns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven leadership in Site Reliability Engineering strategy, reliability by design, and observability.
• Demonstrated reductions in incidents and measurable improvements in recovery outcomes.
• Experience across all four key pillars of SRE, including service level management, automation, incident response, and capacity/reliability engineering.
• Skilled in resilient engineering, risk control, and scaling operations in complex, regulated banking and payments environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, demonstrate flexibility, and establish credibility with technical peers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 8+ years of relevant experience with evidence of SRE transformation leadership.
• Proven delivery of SLO/SLI/error budget frameworks at scale and measurable reductions in MTTR, incidents, toil, and reliability risk.
• Experience influencing senior executives on funding and measuring reliability outcomes.
